Week 11 fantasy football waiver wire: What to do with Teddy Bridgewater, Drew Brees, others on injury report - DraftKings Nation

Week 10 was highlighted by a trio of noteworthy quarterback injuries. If the usual starter isn’t under center the ceilings of running backs, tight ends, and wide receivers could be lowered. Let’s go over what players are worth keeping an eye on as you consider waiver wire targets ahead of Week 11.

Bridgewater suffered a knee injury after taking a fourth-quarter hit in Week 10 and was replaced by Philip Walker against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carolina will likely be very cautious with Bridgewater, as he’s already recovered from a gruesome knee injury. If he doesn’t play in Week 11 the Panthers’ receiving corps could see a significant drop in production.

Stafford went the distance against the Washington Football Team in Week 10 but said he will get x-rays on his thumb after the contest. There’s been no indication that his injury will stop him from playing in Week 11, but Chase Daniel would be a significant downgrade.

Brees suffered a rib injury against the 49ers in Week 10 and the Saints’ quarterback situation could be very interesting. Jameis Winston replaced Brees after he got injured but Taysom Hill is second on the depth chart. Brees remained on the sideline with his helmet on following his injury, so he could be right back under center next week.

RB JaMycal Hasty, San Francisco 49ers

Hasty broke his collar bone in the 49ers loss to the Saints. Jerick McKinnon got the bulk of the workload. The 49ers are headed into their bye and have a chance of getting Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman back in Week 12.

Amendola suffered a hip injury in Week 10 and wasn’t very productive against the Washington Football Team. He caught three passes for 10 yards after leading the receiving corps in Week 9. If Amendola and the injured Kenny Golladay are ruled out for Week 11 the passing attack could be focus on Marvin Jones Jr. and T.J. Hockenson.

WR Tre’Quan Smith, New Orleans Saints

Smith exited Sunday’s game early with a concussion before he even made a catch. He trails Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders on the WR depth chart. Marquez Callaway and Deonte Harris could get a boost in opportunities if he isn’t clear of concussion protocol by Week 11.
