After almost a decade of effort from a multidisciplinary team of researchers and collaborators with backgrounds in robotics, functional apparel design and movement science, soft wearable robots have now left the lab and being deployed across a range of exciting application areas. This talk will give an overview of how this technology has matured and give examples of its commercial use through collaborations with industry partners. Our long-term vision is for ubiquitous soft wearable robots that can be worn all day, every day, in the community, home, sporting and workplace environments.
