Although Immanuel Quickley was named the SEC Player of the Year last season, the Kentucky guard isn’t expected to be selected in the 2020 NBA draft until the second round.

However, Quickley has garnered attention from multiple NBA teams, including the Brooklyn Nets — who Bryan Kalbrosky of USA Today SMG’s Rookie Wire projects will take the guard at No. 55 overall:

His free-throw shooting (92.3%) ranked sixth-best among all underclassmen, and he also has the most productive floater of all prospects in this class.

Considering that the Brooklyn Nets are expected to be a contender to win the Eastern Conference next season, they will need help with bench scoring. Quickley can provide immediate depth as a fantastic second-unit shooter.

In his sophomore season at Kentucky, Quickley shot 42.8% from deep while taking 4.8 3-pointers per game. As a freshman, he shot 34.5% from beyond the arc.
