Fantasy football waiver wire advice, Week 6: Best available TEs include - DraftKings Nation

There are a few tight ends widely available that either have good matchups heading into Week 6, or had successful Week 5 performances, or could benefit from an injury. With that in mind, here are five tight ends with under 50% ownership in traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up for Week 6.

Goedert still has a week before he can come off of I.R., but with the way Zach Ertz has been playing, I’d like to scoop up Goedert a week early. Initial reports had Goedert’s timetable for return coinciding with his three-week I.R. stint, so there’s a real chance he’ll be ready to face the Giants in Week 7.

Jimmy Graham, Bears (40 percent)

Graham isn’t going to stretch the field anymore, but he’s a target magnet in the red zone. He’ll remain a touchdown or bust player, but with four touchdowns so far, he’s busted in two games and been worthwhile in three.

The Colts tight ends are a mess, as there are three that will continue to see work, but Burton appears to be the one Frank Reich wants out there the most when healthy. Since returning in Week 4, he’s had 11 targets to Jack Doyle’s three and Mo Alie-Cox’s three. If Philip Rivers were playing better, I’d be more into grabbing Burton, but for now, he’s someone I’d want to add in a 2TE league.

Next up — @SF, CHI, @MIA, BYE, SEA

Everett is still behind Tyler Higbee in snaps, but this week he out-targeted him 4 to 2 and ended up catching all four of those targets for 90 yards. In the previous game he had a goal line carry and scored a touchdown, so there’s no-doubt that coach Sean McVay is looking to get him more involved moving forward.

Next up — ATL, BYE, @GB, DET, @CHI

I was high on Smith Jr. coming into this season, but the team must not have been, as he saw just six targets through their first four games. That changed on Sunday night, as he saw five targets against the Seahawks and caught four for 64 yards while Kyle Rudolph caught 1-of-2 targets for 10 yards. He could end up moving back to his one or two targets a game again, but this was a good sign for a talented player. If you have room, he’s worth a flier if you’re in need.
