The Kansas City Chiefs are getting ready to face the Buffalo Bills at Bills Stadium in Week 6. It’s the first time these two teams have played each other since 2017.

To learn more about Kansas City’s opponent, we spoke with managing editor Nick Wojton over at Bills Wire and asked him a few questions.

Chiefs Wire: A lot has been made of Josh Allen’s progression this year. He seemed to struggle at times against the Titans in Week 5 with some accuracy issues, throwing a pair of picks. Was that a one-off occurrence or are you concerned about him backsliding into bad habits?

Nick Wojton: Not too concerned with him regressing… yet. Maybe he throws a pick vs. the Chiefs, but both of those last week had some other circumstances attached as well. The first was tipped and went right to Malcolm Butler. The second was, in part, due to a nice read by Butler to jump the pass. But to your point, Allen was forcing a thing or two during the game as well. The biggest reason Allen actually might improve is John Brown getting back on the field. He’s expected to do so this week.

Chiefs Wire: The Bills were missing a few guys against the Titans in Week 5 like Zack Moss and Tre White. Do you get the sense that they’ll be healthier in Week 6 against the Chiefs?

Nick Wojton: Brown alone should be a good addition considering Buffalo’s best defense has been a good offense this year. Moss still a little unknown, but any help defensively will be welcomed. White missed last week and so did Levi Wallace, Buffalo’s No. 2 corner. Clearly, Josh Norman is not very good. Wallace wasn’t listed at all on the injury report to start this week, so he should be back. With the Chiefs offense en route, one has to think White is going to push himself to be out there Monday as well. His back injury really came out of… nowhere… Some suspected he did not want to play against the Titans because of their COVID concerns, but that is really just fan speculation at this point.

Chiefs Wire: Are there any unheralded players on the Bills’ roster that Chiefs fans should know about prior to this game?

Nick Wojton: Hate to do this again… but another injured guy from last week. Linebacker Matt Milano is a stud and completely overlooked. He’s already been injured twice this season, though. Not great for the team or him considering he’s in a contract year. With Travis Kelce, the Bills need Milano. Any time he’s not out there, opposing tight ends eat up the Bills defense. Milano’s a former college safety and is an elite coverage linebacker.

Chiefs Wire: Who do you think wins in the eventual throw-off between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes?

Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Wojton: Oh that’s a good one… I’ll go with Josh Allen. Trying to put biased opinions aside, I think Allen’s a tad larger than Mahomes. I mean, they’re both 6-foot-plus… but Allen’s got that thicker frame and I’ll guess having a bit more weight behind his tosses could help? That’s my guess anyway.

Chiefs Wire: What’s your prediction for the game?

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Wojton: See, I told you I’m not biased. I’m going with the Chiefs in this one. Had Bills Mafia been able to get into the stands in this one, it’d be a sight to behold on primetime football. Not only because the team is good, but there’s a Mahomes-Allen/ Bills-Chiefs comparison that goes on here in Buffalo because of the whole draft-day trade between the two sides which sent Mahomes to KC. The place would’ve been hostile. But like many games this year, it’s just a couple of guys on a field getting after it, and it’s very easy to envision a lot of plays going over the middle of the field. Buffalo’s defense hasn’t stopped a single team from working there, and now they’re facing arguably the best offense on their schedule. What’s to stop the Chiefs? Not the Bills… I’ll go Chiefs 34, Bills 21.
