Another two weeks have passed by in the NBA and that means it is time for another set for power rankings of the rookies. The Philadelphia 76ers have an explosive rookie guard off their bench who is continuing to make an impact on his team.

That would be Tyrese Maxey who tumbled and fell into Philadelphia’s laps at 21 on draft night back in November and he is one of the main pieces on a title contender in the East. He is averaging 9.6 points as an instant offense guy off the bench.

In the latest Rookie Power Rankings performed by our sister site, Rookie Wire, they have Maxey ranked as the 10th best rookie over the previous two weeks.

Rookie Wire:

After an incredible run by Maxey, in which he scored a career-high 39 points on Jan. 9, the Sixers rookie has played sparingly of late with starter Seth Curry back from the health and safety protocols. Maxey is averaging just six points per game over the last two weeks, but he has stayed productive when called upon. He helped the Sixers overcome a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit on Sunday to beat the Pacers, and earned praise from his teammates in the process.

Maxey was ranked fourth in the previous rankings, but his playing time has gone down due to Philadelphia having a lot of their main pieces return. He will continue to grow and develop and help the Sixers moving forward.
