The 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl is now a thing of the past and NFL mock drafts have kicked into high gear in an attempt to reflect what was seen over the week.

The performances down in Alabama have caused some drastic changes for experts and analysts making their 2021 NFL draft projections. And that was most certainly reflected in the latest Draft Wire mock, which saw a major run on quarterbacks in the top 10.

With four quarterbacks off the board by the time the New York Giants picked at No. 11, it meant there was a deep pool of talent for Luke Easterling to pick from. Ultimately, he went with Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley for Big Blue.

The Giants shored up one corner spot by signing James Bradberry in free agency last offseason, but they still need an upgrade on the other side of the field. Farley is a top-10 talent who opted out of the 2020 college football season due to COVID-19, but already has enough quality film that proves he can be a shutdown cover man at the next level.

In this scenario, the Giants passed on Michigan edge rusher Kwity Paye, Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons and Miami edge rusher Gregory Rousseau for Farley.

Despite the potential for what ifs and the obvious need for some offensive playmakers, adding Farley to the Giants’ defense alongside James Bradberry would be an immediate impact move.
