Fantasy football waiver wire advice, Week 15: Best available TEs include Irv Smith, Dan Arnold, Cole Kmet - DraftKings Nation

susilangs.blogspot.com

There are a few tight ends widely available that either have favorable matchups heading into Week 15, had successful Week 14 performances, or could benefit from an injury. With that in mind, here are five tight ends with under 50% ownership in traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up for Week 15.

There are no more NFL bye weeks.

Irv Smith Jr., Vikings (6 percent)

Next up — CHI, @NO

Smith Jr. finally got back on the field last week and happened to do so with Kyle Rudolph out with an injury. He ended up catching four targets for 63 yards and a touchdown for one of the better fantasy days of the week. He has good upside based on ability, but Rudolph will likely be back next week. The good news is that he was playing ahead of Rudolph before his injury, so I’m on board due to his upside.

Dan Arnold, Cardinals (1 percent)

Next up — PHI, SF

Arnold isn’t getting enough targets to be a must start, but when he does get targets they’ve been coming in the red zone. He now has four touchdown in the last four games and gets two home games in the desert to finish the fantasy playoffs.

Cole Kmet, Bears (6 percent)

Next up — @MIN, @JAX

Jimmy Graham was still behind Kmet last week, but caught a touchdown pass while Kmet did not. But, the rookie once again saw seven targets, which is a whole bunch for a tight end. The Bears aren’t getting in the playoffs, so I expect they’ll keep giving the rookie

Adam Shaheen, Dolphins (0 percent)

Next up — NE, @LV

If Mike Gesicki and DeVante Parker have to miss time, Sheehan should be in store for a decent bump in work. He’s caught three touchdowns on only 16 targets this season, so a touchdown without Gesicki is in the cards.

Dawson Knox, Bills (34 percent)

Next up — @DEN, @NE

Knox had a poor game against the Steelers on Sunday, but he’s obviously getting more usage with John Brown out. He’s had 11 targets in his last two games and caught two touchdowns in his last three. As long as Brown is out, he should get enough work to have some streamable upside in deeper leagues.
