There are a few quarterbacks widely available that have good matchups heading into Week 15, or had successful Week 14 performances, or could benefit from an injury. With that in mind, here are four quarterbacks with under 50% rostership in traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up for Week 15.
Week 15 byes: None
Jalen Hurts, Eagles (17 percent)
Next up — @ARI, @DAL, WAS
Hurts might be the real deal. He didn’t have amazing stats against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday but did throw for 167 yards and a score with no picks while also rushing for 106 yards on 18 carries. He breathed life back into Philadelphia’s offense and the Eagles are clearly willing to be ambitious by getting him plenty of designed run plays. His next couple two games will be against defenses that pale in comparison to what he faced on Sunday.
Derek Carr, Raiders (47 percent)
Next up — LAC, MIA, @DEN
Carr threw for 300+ yards for a second straight game in Week 14 and also ran for a score against one of the better defenses in the NFL this time around. His Week 15 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers could be ahead of tougher Week 15 and 16 matchups. He’s thrown at least 45 passes in back-to-back games and only four teams have given up more passing touchdowns than the Chargers.
Next up — HOU, @PIT, JAX
I’m buying all Rivers stock at this point. The Colts’ passing attack has come back to life now that T.Y. Hilton is rolling and Rivers is reaping the benefits. He’s thrown for multiple scores in four straight weeks: a feat he only accomplished twice in a row ahead of November. A week 15 matchup against the Houston Texans is just what the doctor ordered.
Mitchell Trubisky, Bears (11 percent)
Next up — @MIN, @JAX, GB
Trubsisky decided to ball out on Sunday after losing two straight games and hurled the pigskin for 267 yards with three scores against the Texans. It’s always risky rostering Trubisky because of his inconsistency but his upcoming matchups against the Vikings and Jaguars are ideal for his passing numbers.
