There are a few D/STs widely available that either have good matchups heading into Week 13, or had successful Week 12 performances, or could benefit from an injury. With that in mind, here are five D/STs with under 60% rostership in traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up for Week 13.
Week 13 byes: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers
Las Vegas Raiders (9 percent)
Next up — @NYJ, IND, LAC, MIA
The Raiders will be looking to bounce back from their awful defeat last week to the Falcons. The good news is that they’ll face a Jets team that hasn’t won a game this year. Last week Sam Darnold threw two interceptions and took three sacks against the Dolphins and now hasn’t thrown a touchdown in his last four games.
Seattle Seahawks (59 percent)
Next up — NYG, NYJ, @WSH, LAR
The Seahawks will likely face Colt McCoy instead of Daniel Jones this week, which is good. Jones had been playing better of late. The Seahawks defense isn’t going to blow your socks off, but the addition of Carlos Dunlap has helped the pass rush and McCoy isn’t going to have many explosive plays in his pop-gun arm.
Minnesota Vikings (52 percent)
Next up — JAX, @TB, CHI, @NO
Mike Glennon played better than many imagined he would in Week 12, but he’s still Mike Glennon. The Vikings are still in the playoff hunt and will need to take care of a weak opponent like the Jaguars.
Los Angeles Chargers (36 percent)
Next up — NE, ATL, @LV, DEN
We’ve seen Cam Newton put together a few good games and the Patriots can run the ball to keep from turning it over, but he’s also made some awful throws this season. If the Chargers can get a lead and force Newton to throw, I like their chances of getting a pick or two.
Detroit Lions (4 percent)
Next up — @CHI, GB, @TEN TB
I don’t know who we’ll see, Nick Foles or Mitch Trubisky, but neither should be starting for an NFL team. The Lions defense is bad, so we can’t be all in on them at D/ST this week, but we can throw them out there in a pinch.
