Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram left this week’s game against the Eagles with an ankle injury and didn’t return. The Ravens did get out to an early lead and have plenty of running backs behind Ingram, so they probably didn’t believe they needed to push him.
With Ingram out, the team went to J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards as the lead backs against a good Eagles run defense. Dobbins ended the day with nine carries for 28 yards and Edwards had 14 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was actually scored before Ingram’s injury.
Dobbins was the only running back to catch a pass, but he only gained one-yard on two receptions. This game was mostly the Lamar Jackson show, as he rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown.
J.K. Dobbins is rostered in 64 percent and Gus Edwards is rostered in 3 percent of Yahoo leagues and if Ingram were to miss any time, they both would have some fantasy value. But, the Ravens do get a bye this coming Week 7 and then face the Steelers and Colts. Unless we hear some really bad news on Ingram’s ankle, this is a situation to avoid for now.
