ALPHARETTA, GA — The Wire & Wood Alpharetta Music Festival returns to downtown Alpharetta for its eighth year from 5-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8 - 9. The free festival will showcase more than 30 performances by singer-songwriters representing a variety of music genres on six outdoor stages throughout the downtown Alpharetta area. This year's festival will feature headliners Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors and Ruthie Foster. In addition to music, festival goers can enjoy food from local restaurants and food trucks.
The Wire & Wood Alpharetta Music Festival will feature a headliner performance from four-time Grammy nominee blues artist, Ruthie Foster, on Friday night. Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, an Americana act hailing from Nashville, Tennessee will headline the festival on Saturday night.
Additional artists confirmed to perform at the eighth annual Wire & Wood Alpharetta Music Festival include Southern Avenue, Elizabeth Cook, Joslyn & The Sweet Compression, SUSTO (Acoustic Duo), Michelle Malone, AJ Ghent, Certainly So, Blair Crimmins and the Hookers, Steve Poltz, Cat Ridgeway, Matthew Mayes & John Meyer of Jupiter Coyote, J. Scott Thompson (Trio), Emily Hackett, Lyn Avenue, Across the Wide (Acoustic Duo), Telegram, Alex Guthrie, Michael Magno, Hope Cassity, Aspen Anonda, Rusted Soul, Smith & Calvert, Leah Belle Faser, Sailing to Denver, Wade Sapp, Hunter Blalock, Surrender Hill, Chelsea Shag, ROSEY, and Wendlo.
The two-day event takes place on multiple outdoor stages throughout downtown Alpharetta. Outdoor stages include Main on Milton, Town Green Stage, Canton Street Stage, Brooke Street Park Stage, Market Street Stage and Formal Garden Stage.
In addition to the six outdoor stages and new this year, the Wire & Wood Alpharetta Music Festival is partnering with Music Match, a program created to bring local musicians to restaurants and venues to create a vibrant music scene year-round in Alpharetta. The following musicians will be performing in various venues over the Wire & Wood Alpharetta Music Festival weekend: Ansley Stewart, Amanda Belair, Andrea and Mud, BJ Wilbanks, Bookclub, Brother Sam and Old Matt Donald, Chayse Pannel, Evan Stepp, Faithless Town, Hill Roberts, Jesse Warren, Reverend Hylton, Katie Martin, Kurt Lee Wheeler, ROCCO, and Shreeps.
Event goers will also enjoy a wide assortment of food options from local restaurants in downtown Alpharetta. Additionally, the event will bring in two local food trucks to add to the options for attendees.

Free parking is available throughout the downtown area, including the City Hall Parking Deck located at 2 Park Plaza, the parking deck at 92 Milton Avenue and the parking lot at 45 Roswell Street. For fans using ride-share services, the drop-off/pick-up location is at 27 Old Roswell Street.
