The Packers receiving corps is a mess heading into Thursday's game at Arizona, and Fantasy managers could be scrambling for waiver wire help. Davante Adams and Allen Lazard were both placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and both are expected to be out for Week 8.

While Green Bay will definitely lean on Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon in this matchup, the running backs obviously can't do it alone. Randall Cobb and potentially Marquez Valdes-Scantling are headed for increased roles against the Cardinals, and we'll talk about them below. The same goes for Robert Tonyan, who is worth adding in all leagues.

Aaron Rodgers being down Adams and Lazard makes him a risky Fantasy option, and we have quarterback streamers you might consider. It could be risky to trust Rodgers without Adams and Lazard against a good Arizona defense on the road.

The Packers aren't the only team with injury concerns this week. Miles Sanders (ankle) is expected to miss Week 8, which opens the door for Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott to be relevant Fantasy options against the Lions.

And there are also two teams on a bye in Baltimore and Las Vegas, so we have to find replacements for Lamar Jackson, Derek Carr, Mark Andrews, Darren Waller and Josh Jacobs, among others. Jacobs (chest) was injured in Week 7, but he's expected to be fine after the Raiders bye.

We have plenty of fill-in options for you listed here, and there are some great streaming kickers and DSTs for Week 8 as well. It should be a busy week on the waiver wire, so let's get started.

Editor's note: For this waiver wire column, we are only looking at players rostered in less than 65 percent of CBS Sports leagues.

Week 8 Waivers
WAIVER WIRE
Quarterbacks
  • Injuries: Dak Prescott (calf), Russell Wilson (finger), Baker Mayfield (shoulder), Trey Lance (knee), Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip), Tyrod Taylor (hamstring), Zach Wilson (knee) and Taysom Hill (concussion).
  • On a bye: Lamar Jackson and Derek Carr
  • Check to see if available: Kirk Cousins (82 percent rostered) and Tua Tagovailoa (72 percent). Cousins has scored at least 26 Fantasy points in four of six games this season, and he's set up for a shootout in Week 8 against the Cowboys. Add him where available if he was dropped during Minnesota's bye in Week 7. ... Tagovailoa doesn't have an easy matchup in Week 8 at Buffalo, but after that he has Houston in Week 9. He's scored at least 25 Fantasy points in consecutive games against Jacksonville and Atlanta and should continue to play well in positive matchups.
  • Drop candidates: Sam Darnold (85 percent rostered), Justin Fields (40 percent) and Trey Lance (39 percent). Darnold was benched in Week 7 at the Giants and might not hold onto the starting job much longer if he continues to struggle. He's combined for just 26 Fantasy points in his past three games. ... Fields looks lost right now, and it's hard to trust him in two-quarterback and Superflex leagues. He hasn't topped 14 Fantasy points in any game this season. ... Lance isn't healthy, and it doesn't sound like the 49ers plan to bench Jimmy Garoppolo any time soon. Lance is only worth stashing in dynasty and deep keeper leagues.

Running Backs
  • Injuries: Miles Sanders (ankle), Josh Jacobs (chest), Saquon Barkley (ankle), Nick Chubb (calf), Kareem Hunt (calf), Christian McCaffrey (hamstring), Chris Carson (neck), Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee), David Montgomery (knee), Latavius Murray (ankle), Malcolm Brown (quad) and Ty Johnson (concussion).
  • On a bye: Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake, Latavius Murray, Devonta Freeman, Le'Veon Bell and Ty'Son Williams.
  • Drop candidates: Mike Davis (98 percent rostered), Latavius Murray (57 percent), Rhamondre Stevenson (57 percent), Nyheim Hines (49 percent) and Trey Sermon (49 percent). Davis is trending in the wrong direction and just scored one PPR point in Week 7 at Miami. It's hard to trust him moving forward, and it might be time to drop him, especially in 10-team leagues. ... Murray is dealing with an ankle injury, and he's going to be in a timeshare moving forward after Baltimore's bye in Week 8. He's not worth stashing with the Ravens off this week. ... Stevenson was a surprise healthy scratch in Week 7, and he might have fallen out of favor with the Patriots. It's safe to drop him now, especially while Damien Harris is healthy. ... Hines has combined for five PPR points in his past four games. He only has four receptions over that span, and it's easy to drop him if he's not a factor in the Colts passing game. ... Sermon didn't touch the ball in Week 7 against the Colts with JaMycal Hasty healthy, and Hasty was the backup to Elijah Mitchell. There's no reason to stash Sermon if the 49ers aren't going to play him.
  • Check to see if available: Michael Carter (79 percent rostered), Alexander Mattison (75 percent) and Kenyan Drake (67 percent). Carter has either a touchdown or 100 total yards in three games in a row. He took off as a receiver in Week 7 at New England with eight catches for 67 yards on nine targets, likely a result of Wilson getting hurt, and that could be a bonus moving forward. Carter should be added in all leagues, and he would benefit in a big way if Johnson is out. ... Mattison has proven his worth as a handcuff to Dalvin Cook, and I would stash him in all leagues where available. ... While Jacobs is expected to be fine, it's worth adding Drake where available just in case. And Drake has scored at least 16 PPR points in two games without Jon Gruden. Drake could end up as a flex option moving forward in tandem with Jacobs. In deeper leagues, you might want to take a flier on Peyton Barber (8 percent rostered) in case he has an expanded role if Jacobs is out.

Wide Receivers
  • Injuries: Davante Adams (illness), Allen Lazard (illness),  Antonio Brown (ankle), Michael Thomas (ankle), Jerry Jeudy (ankle), Sterling Shepard (hamstring), Kadarius Toney (ankle), Kenny Golladay (knee), Sammy Watkins (hamstring), DeVante Parker (shoulder), Will Fuller (finger), T.Y. Hilton (quad), Curtis Samuel (groin), Michael Gallup (calf), Quintez Cephus (collarbone), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring), Terrace Marshall (concussion) and Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin)
  • On a bye: Marquise Brown, Rashod Bateman, Sammy Watkins, Henry Ruggs III, Hunter Renfrow and Bryan Edwards.
  • Check to see if available: Jerry Jeudy (81 percent rostered), Sterling Shepard (73 percent) and Hunter Renfrow (72 percent). Jeudy is expected to return in Week 8, and he should be added in all leagues. Hopefully, he steps back into the No. 1 role for the Broncos and can become a must-start Fantasy option right away. ... Shepard will hopefully return to action in Week 8, and I still like him as the best Giants receiver for the remainder of the season. You can also look to add Toney (59 percent) or Golladay (62 percent) with the hope that they return in Week 8 also. ... Renfrow is worth adding, even with the Raiders on a bye. He has scored at least 11 PPR points in five of seven games this year.
  • Drop candidates: Allen Robinson (91 percent rostered), Tyler Boyd (81 percent), Odell Beckham (79 percent), Robby Anderson (72 percent) and Brandon Aiyuk (62 percent). It's tough to part with any of these guys given their expectations this season, but they have all struggled through seven weeks and don't have much hope of turning things around. ... Robinson has scored 10 PPR points or less in every game and has just two games with more than 50 receiving yards. ... Boyd has scored seven PPR points or less in every game when Tee Higgins has been healthy, including three outings in a row. ... Beckham is dealing with a significant shoulder injury, and Mayfield is also banged up. Beckham also has failed to score a touchdown in five games this year. ... Anderson has 38 targets in his past four games but has combined for just 13 catches, 101 yards and one touchdown over that span. He's also scored 10 PPR points or less in every game since Week 1. ... Aiyuk has scored more than five PPR points just once this season and has been at four targets or less in five of six outings.

Tight Ends
  • Injuries: George Kittle (calf), Darren Waller (ankle), Rob Gronkowski (ribs), Dawson Knox (hand), Jonnu Smith (shoulder) and Logan Thomas (hamstring).
  • On a bye: Mark Andrews and Darren Waller
  • Check to see if available: Ricky Seals-Jones (66 percent rostered). Seals-Jones has stepped up with Thomas out, and Thomas is considered week-to-week with his injury. In the past two games, Seals-Jones has 13 targets for 10 catches, 109 yards and a touchdown, and he's scored at least 11 PPR points in each outing.
  • Drop candidates: Dawson Knox (76 percent rostered). Knox is out after having surgery to repair his fractured hand, and reports are he "won't be out for long." But with him on the shelf, he's not a must hold unless you have a deep bench. I'd prefer to hold Knox if possible, but you might not have a choice if you need a roster spot.
Week 8 Priority List
WAIVER WIRE

  • Bengals (22 percent rostered) at NYJ

49ers (54 percent rostered) at CHI

Steelers (63 percent rostered) at CLE

Falcons (15 percent rostered) vs. CAR

WAIVER WIRE
KICKERS
  • Greg Zuerlein (61 percent rostered) at MIN

Evan McPherson (21 percent rostered) at NYJ

Greg Joseph (21 percent rostered) vs. DAL

Randy Bullock (51 percent rostered) at IND
