The U.S. Army has released a solicitation for administration and maintenance services in support of supercomputers at several Department of Defense centers that provide hardware, software, data storage and other resources to a High Performance Computing computational environment.

According to the SAM.gov notice posted Thursday, the Army Corps of Engineers will seek proposals and issue basic ordering agreements for technology insertion under the HPC Modernization program.

The initiative aims to support several DOD Supercomputing Resource Centers, including the DSRCs of the Navy, Army and Air Force at John C. Stennis Space Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, respectively.

The BOAs will provide for computational architectures, systems support, Defense Research and Engineering Network maintenance, and HPC software application code development.

The agreements will have a five-year ordering period, and an estimated and combined value of $369.8 million, which will be covered by Other Procurement Army and Research, Development, Testing & Evaluation funding.

Interested parties may submit responses until Aug. 2.
