We are almost a month into the 2020-21 NBA season and beginning to see which players will be must keeps on your respective fantasy basketball team.

If you have Zach LaVine, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, or Bradley Beal on your fantasy team, then you are likely in great shape. Ownership percentage: 48 percent in ESPN Leagues

Houston Rockets center DeMarcus Cousins is a low-risk, high-reward waiver wire pickup this week. On Tuesday night in a blowout loss, Cousins had 13 points and 10 rebounds in 18 minutes played. For his efforts, the veteran big man recorded his second 30-plus fantasy point performance (34) this season.

The last time Cousins produced that many fantasy points was on Jan. 6 against the Indiana Pacers, where he had 41 (nine points, 14 rebounds, four blocks, and two steals). This season, the 30-year-old center is averaging 6.9 points and 6.1 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per game.

Ownership percentage: 43 percent in ESPN Leagues

Depending on your fantasy basketball league, you might have Bobby Portis starting either at power forward or center. If Portis is still available, then you need to pick him asap. The veteran big man is quietly having a good season with the Bucks.

He is averaging 11.8 points and 8.0 rebounds in 24.2 minutes per game. The 25-year-old is currently day-to-day with a knee injury, but he is shooting a career-high 56.3 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from three-point range.

Ownership percentage: 44 percent in ESPN Leagues

Staying in the NBA’s Central division, Bulls center Wendell Carter Jr. could be another low-risk, high-reward pick in fantasy basketball. As we all know, the offense in Chicago runs through the starting backcourt of Zach LaVine and Coby White. But WCJ has made strides and been productive this season as the team’s starting center.

The 21-year-old center is averaging 12.8 points and 7.8 rebounds in 27 minutes per game. In regards to fantasy hoops, Carter is averaging 24.6 fantasy points in the Bulls’ last five games.
