National Grid crews are on their way to deal with an outage Sunday night in Genesee County, a company spokesman said.
“The call came in as wire down, which affected about 800 customers,” said Spokesman Domenick Graziani. “Once they get there, they’ll have idea of the restoration time.”
Graziani said East Batavia is the location of the downed wire.
“We have three crews going out there. Once they get out there, they’re going to assess the situation and make the necessary repairs,” he said.
National Grid reports that as of 9:35 p.m., 905 customers on Genesee County are currently affected by a power outage, out of about 27,000 customers served in the county. National Grid estimates power will be restored around 11:30 p.m.
“Our Outage Central page shows the estimated time of restoration for entire communities and reflects the estimated time for the last customer in that community to have power restored. The most accurate way for customers to check on the power restoration estimate for their specific address is to log into our Report or Check an Outage page,” National Grid said of the estimated restoration times listed on its website.
