7:32
Chad Cool: Now that Kuhl has built up his pitch count, is he looking like a keep ROS? That CSW was pretty low last outing and the K’s weren’t there so I’m worried

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: I put Kuhl in the streamer class of pitcher. He’s OK
7:32
jake: top 5 streaming options for this week in my league are Cueto, Turnbull, Duffy, T. Williams, and Kuhl. Which two would you prefer?
7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: Bullets to the head
7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: Turnbull and …
7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: Kuhl
7:33
DW: Jimenez…UGH!!  Hang on or spend a ton of money on Taylor Williams??
7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: I was irritated about the blow up. I was hoping to stash Jimenez before the trade deadline.
7:34
Jeff Zimmerman: I think Detroit has to throw Jimenez to get his trade value up.
7:34
I Say Statcast: Kikuchi has some really good peripheral statistics but hasn’t looked the same way when he’s pitching. Is he just really unlucky or is there something else going on that gives us a reason to not own him?
7:35
Jeff Zimmerman: I value him the same as Kuhl, more of a streaming option.
7:35
Quarantino Martinez: Woohoo! Sunday night chat!!
7:35
Jeff Zimmerman: Damn skippy
7:35
Chris: Thanks fir the chat.  Rest of season please rank: Cueto, weaver, Anibal Sanchez, young (arizona), or gonsolin?
7:35
Jeff Zimmerman: You’re welcome.
7:36
Jeff Zimmerman: Young and …. Weaver and Golsolin …. middle releiver.
7:36
jake: between Tony Watson, Matt Barnes, and Emilio Pagan, which one do you have the most confidence in to not only get but also convert save opportunities?
7:36
Jeff Zimmerman: Pagan ….. Watson …. Barnes
7:36
jake: are there any long relievers besides like Chad Green that are worth a look for deep 12 team leagues?
7:37
Jeff Zimmerman: The two arms in Detroit (Soto and Sisnero). Rodriguez in Pit. Maybe Salmount in KC
7:38
Jeff Zimmerman: Kanrincheck(SP?) in Cleveland
7:38
OrchardsCurbStompers: Drop Matt Kemp for 1 of Markakis, Toro, or Pache? Also, Should I hold on Tony Gonsolin for very long? Thank you Sensei
7:38
Jeff Zimmerman: Toro for the week but no longer
7:38
Jeff Zimmerman: Gonsolin is going to be a mess to hold
7:39
Quarantino Martinez: Al Only Catcher Q: drop Jason Castro for Jose Trevino or Ryan Jeffers?
7:39
Jeff Zimmerman: Jeffers but you are just rearranging turds.
7:39
Ryan: Nick Ahmed for real going forward?
7:39
Jeff Zimmerman: He plays everyday and accumulates. He’s done this for years.
7:40
Jeff Zimmerman: He’s been helped with at least 1 but I think two trips to Colorado
7:40
Dusty: How much of your FAAB do you drop on Wander Javier in case he gets called up this week? What’s his upside ?
7:41
Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure he does but someone will drop all they have left
7:41
Guest: Weighing my interest in Skubal for a 4×4 AL redraft.  Last year’s AA numbers were amazing, but does he stand out right now above a less hyped Triston McKenzie?
7:41
Jeff Zimmerman: Mckenzie is the better pitcher … when healthy. I like adding Skubal cheaply this week
7:42
jake: are Garrett Richards and Martin Perez serviceable in 12 teamers or should i have dropped them a long time ago?
7:42
Jeff Zimmerman: Move on and stream from those two spots.
7:42
Guest: In a 2 C 10 team weekly roto league, I have Severino, Alfaro and Ralph Kiner-Falefa.  Drop one of them for Narvaez?  If so, which one and how much to bid?
7:43
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d sit but if you feel you have to make a move, drop Alfaro for a min bid
7:43
Craig: Pick One for 5×5 ROTO: Matt Strahm, Adrian Morejon, Ranger Suarez, Matt Beaty
7:43
Jeff Zimmerman: I’m a Ranger guy
7:43
Nick: Favorite two-start P targets on the waiver wire for next week?
7:44
Jeff Zimmerman: It really depends who is available in your league. It’s an OK week with Casey Mize being the best option.
7:44
jake: can u do me a favor and tell whoever makes the bullpen reports that he is an absolute legend? they literally keep me afloat in my leagues lmao
7:45
Jeff Zimmerman: It’s Jason Martinez. He runs Roster Resource and is doing the bullpen report during the season.
7:45
jake: Is Andres Gimenez worth owning in 12 team leagues? other options are like Kevin Newman and Tommy La Stella. I originally added him bc i needed speed but then my team got 11 steals this week lol
7:45
Jeff Zimmerman: Gimenez is drop in all leagues. He’s not playing. Grab LaStella
7:46
Dumpster Fiers: Arm for the week (AL): Fiers, Chase Anderson (only going 3 so far, but more pitches each time), Dunn, Margevicius, Trevor Richards… Or just get a set-up guy?
7:46
Jeff Zimmerman: Chase Anderson and hope he goes 5
7:46
jake: I picked up Willy Adames last week despite not great baseball savant numbers. How much longer can i expect him to be decent/good?
7:47
Jeff Zimmerman: He’s making the slow steady improvement like Semien did. I like him as a MI/bench option.
7:47
Don’t Hate the Hader: Drop Wick for Barnes, Pagan, R Rodriguez, or Cisnero (DET)?
7:47
Jeff Zimmerman: Pagan
7:47
Sir Farts A Lot: Dylan Carlson was dropped in my 12-team league. Worth scooping up or would you wait?
7:47
Jeff Zimmerman: Wait for now. He seems to be completely over matched
7:48
Vader: Does McKenzie stay in the rotation and stay effective? I’m leaning heavily towards grabbing Sixto over him. Am I crazy??
7:48
Jeff Zimmerman: You are crazy. Go with McKenzie until he ends up on the IL
7:48
Quarantino Martinez: Thanks! Rearranging Turds is my team motto.
7:48
Jeff Zimmerman: No problem
7:48
Dan: The new TB closer is…?
7:49
Jeff Zimmerman: Same as always … a committee.
7:49
Peter: rank: Mize, T McKenzie, S Howard ROS
7:49
Jeff Zimmerman: That is the order
7:49
Peter: What are we doing with Brendan Rodgers? Does he have a short leash?
7:49
Jeff Zimmerman: Ignore him. He has to play to be useful
7:49
Vader: Think Pineda is worth a stash H2H?
7:51
Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe. He can return on the 31st, so it’s this week or never. I’m worried he’ll head to the bullpen
7:52
RMR: Does Edwin Diaz have the closers job back to himself at this point?
7:52
Jeff Zimmerman: It seems that way
7:52
Mike Hawk: Morejon went poopy today. He get COL away for his next start which is a non-starter.  Does he have any long term allure?
7:52
Jeff Zimmerman: It doesn’t seem that way
7:52
Jeff Zimmerman: Gamble elsewhere
7:53
Cito’s Mustache: Would you drop G Richards or R Ray for any of Webb, Mahle or Tomlin or are they all streamers at this point in 12-teamers?
7:53
Jeff Zimmerman: Those are some deep benches in a 12-teamer.
7:53
Jeff Zimmerman: First, Tomlin is never the answer.
7:54
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop Richards for Webb
7:54
dave in slc: would you bid on any of the al call ups to drop chavis? mountcastle or paredes?
7:54
Jeff Zimmerman: I’m a Mountcastle fan but I’m likely to not roster him anywhere since I’ve blown most of my FAAB
7:54
dave in slc: what % of faab do you throw at mize?
7:55
Jeff Zimmerman: I think it’ll be in the 25%+ range. Some teams will go all-in
7:55
jake: is tyler anderson for real or was the CG yesterday a fluke
7:56
Jeff Zimmerman: He showed some signs of being decent and he now that he’s out of COL, he might morph into a #3 starter
7:56
Golddust: Is Laureano droppable in a  12-teamer roto keeper? With his fairly poor performance and guys like Croneworth still on waivers, how long do you hold?
7:57
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d hold for a while or if you feel you must move on, trade him
7:57
Juan Gone Baby Gone: Skubal or McKenzie?
7:57
Jeff Zimmerman: McKensie
7:57
Sir Farts A Lot: Colorado returns home at the end of the week, who are you eyeing as a streamer? Sam Hilliard, with dongs in back to back games in LA, best of the bunch?
7:57
Jeff Zimmerman: If he plays. One player to get on the cheap could be Tapia since he’s now leading off
7:58
Shed Long Gone: Feel like it’s long-since time to shed Shed Long. Which MI do you like: Myles Straw, Valaika, Panik, Wade? Thanks!
7:58
Jeff Zimmerman: That’s an ugly list. Straw but I’d like into the matchups and stream your options.
7:58
Cito’s Mustache: With my trade deadline at midnight I thought I’d ask about Hunter Dozier, who has been offered to me and is rocking a 159 wRC+. How real is that 18% walk rate? His 77% whiff% on breaking balls suggests some regression towards his projected 100-ish wRC+ I would think. Any skill changes under the hood to support a better hitter? Thx Jeff.
7:59
Jeff Zimmerman: Nice writeup. I think he’s worth an add. With little buzz around him, he could be cheaply added.
7:59
Merc’ed: I’ve asked every week about the Cleveland OF. Now they’re all dead! Which last OF do you prefer: Cave, Naquin, Margot, Valaika?
8:00
Jeff Zimmerman: Cave for the week. He’s the only regular
8:00
Ross: NL only league need K’s and wins, would you take any of Tyler Anderson, Alex Young, Miley, Kuhl, Feede, or Brubaker over Senzatela? In what order would you rank those guys
8:01
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go with Young, Anderson, Feede (just this week), Miley.
8:01
Hit Paredes: Isaac Paredes vs. Cedric Mullins?
8:01
Jeff Zimmerman: Mullins but I could easily be wrong
8:01
cg: Is Cronenworth the best hitter alive, or just top 10?
8:01
Jeff Zimmerman: Top-20 and on my bench in too many leagues
8:02
Fleece Johnson: Hampson hasn’t been running and sat a few games again. Wait 1 more coors series and then is he droppable in 10-12 teams if things stay this way? Or would you move on now for a weekly streaming spot?
8:02
Jeff Zimmerman: Move on. Maybe try for a trade. Someone has to be interested.
8:02
Sir Farts A Lot: Drop Ohtani yesterday. Of course he hits a 3-run dong today. Will I regret cutting him in a week from now?
8:03
Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe, but I don’t blame you. He’s been horrible.
8:04
Fleece Johnson: Is Quintana worth picking up as a IL stash or would you rather wait and see?
8:04
Jeff Zimmerman: He’s an add with possible an easy game this week and two decent starts next week.
8:04
Ben: Is Pearson done for season?
8:04
Jeff Zimmerman: IMO, yes.
8:04
Bill: Stay patient w/Carlson in 15 team redraft?
8:04
Jeff Zimmerman: He’s a bench and wait for me
8:05
Bullfight: You say “Toro for the week” – sounds like Bregman might be out longer, but maybe even still you prefer Paredes at 3rd?
8:05
Jeff Zimmerman: I like Toro for this season
8:05
Smokey: Am I in the wrong to be offended by the following trade offer?

His Salvador Perez for my Gavin Lux in 12-tm Roto dynasty.

8:06
Jeff Zimmerman: No. I might make the trade if I’m playing for 2020.
8:07
Jeff Zimmerman: Try not to take dynasty trades too personally. I only get mad when people tell me how I should run my team.
8:07
Vader: You grabbing Sixto for H2H? His stuff looked nasty
8:07
Jeff Zimmerman: I’m going to try but likely fail
8:08
Lou Merloni: Start Aguilar with 3 at home and the 4 at WASH/NYM or McMahon with 3 at Coors and 4 at Arizona?
8:08
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go with Aguilar
8:08
jake: why do people in my league keep streaming ryan castellani… doesn’t he suck
8:09
Jeff Zimmerman: They are aiming for the the #1 pick
8:09
Nannette: I have Sal Perez, Dylan Moore and Nick Anderson hurt.  Am I holding or replacing them in nfbc?
8:10
Jeff Zimmerman: That sucks. I’d drop them in this order Perez (catchers everywhere), Moore (those SB are tough to lose but he might not run once he comes back),  Anderson (Saves are Saves).
8:10
Concerned: Can I give up on Jo Adell?
8:10
Jeff Zimmerman: I am for some hitters
8:10
Pick a Card: B Miller or M Carp with the packed schedule coming up?
8:11
Jeff Zimmerman: Miller IMO
8:11
Nannette: Cronenworth or Tapia?
8:11
Jeff Zimmerman: Cronenworth for the season
8:11
Bullfighter: What about Paredes vs. Willi Castro? I promise it’s not an all DET fantasy league…
8:11
Jeff Zimmerman: Gamble on Paredes
8:11
Eric: Concerned at all about Dustin May’s lack of Ks?
8:12
Jeff Zimmerman: A great fastball just doesn’t generate that many K’s. May’s results remind me of Ventura’s when he was still alive.
8:12
OrchardsCurbStompers: Pagan and Workman available who do I prioritize please?
8:13
Jeff Zimmerman: Pagan ……………………….Workman
8:13
Colonel Jessup: Still stashing Gore in redrafts or safe to assume he can’t be right or 100% down at alt site?
8:13
Jeff Zimmerman: Wait until after the trade deadline.
8:13
Eric: Jesse Winker or Trent Grisham?
8:13
Jeff Zimmerman: Both?
8:13
Jeff Zimmerman: Grisham but both need to be rostered.
8:14
jake: i know not really a fantasy question but why the heck is nicky lopez hitting 2nd for KC last time i checked he was just terrible
8:14
Jeff Zimmerman: He’s got something on Matheny
8:14
Bad Boy Tommy Burgmeier: Two part query:  McCutchen and Austin Riley are available- which do you prefer in points league?  Would you bid Dylan Moore farewell to make that move?
8:15
Jeff Zimmerman: McCutchen (walks a ton) and Moore would be gone.
8:15
Vince: Spent WW cash on Carlson. Looks like a bust. I could use the bench space (14 team h2h). Time to move on?
8:15
Jeff Zimmerman: Bench for a week to see if he gets going but move on if not.
8:15
Super Tatis: Did you see that catch?
8:15
Jeff Zimmerman: Crazy good
8:16
Mike: Ke’Bryan Hayes will he get called up with trade deadline approaching and 2 guys going down today?
8:16
Jeff Zimmerman: The deal with Hayes, he can’t hit. Teams will likely get more production from Freddy Galvis
8:17
Kevin: Sixto already rostered in tout?? I’m going for him over Triston easy. Better stuff and better home park why do you like McKenzie more? He has the same health issues as sixto but worse fastball and only the curve seems plus
8:17
Jeff Zimmerman: We can add a prospect from the draft or FAAB him early but have to take a zero from his spot for the week.
8:17
Greg: Is Tatis this year’s Bellinger or Yelich–i.e., the one we start taking instead of Trout, only to be disappointed?
8:18
Jeff Zimmerman: It’s looking that way.
8:18
Peter: Rereading the chat… wander Javier might get called up?
8:18
Jeff Zimmerman: God no. I just wanted Dusty to blow a gasket.
8:18
dave in slc: mills or gonsolin ros?
8:19
Jeff Zimmerman: Mills, he’s in the majors.
8:19
Greg: What do you make Isiah Kiner-Falefa?  The combination of C eligibility and decent speed is tantalizing, but the batting line is awful.
8:19
Jeff Zimmerman: Have you looked at other catchers? He’s a must own in all roto-formats.
8:19
Guest: Drop Carson Kelly for Will Smith (12 tm)? If so, what % FAAB?
8:20
Jeff Zimmerman: yes, 3%. Don’t go over board
8:20
Matt: Are you dropping Neris this week or waiting it out another week?
8:20
Jeff Zimmerman: Waiting.
8:20
Sir Farts A Lot: If next year’s draft was today would top-six be: Tatis, Acuna, Trout, Yelich, Betts, and Bellinger?
8:21
Jeff Zimmerman: Harper may rejoin that list
8:21
Supernintendo Cholmers: Do we need to treat Jays home games like Coors in that stadium? Ball seems to fly out.
8:21
Jeff Zimmerman: It looks that way
8:22
Seager bros: need a C who  do you like travis dArnaud, Pedro Severino barnes or isiah kiner-Falefa?
8:22
Jeff Zimmerman: How in the hell are all those guys on the wire? Five player league?
8:22
Jeff Zimmerman: Severino for now
8:22
jake: u seem to really like Pagan… would you take him over Bass or Gallegos or Rosenthal???
8:23
Jeff Zimmerman: Just Bass
8:23
Jon: Can I drop Griffin Canning for Kim, E. Hernandez, Kikuchi, Anderson or Kuhl? Canning has been nothing but a headache and disapointment but he has way more upside I feel.
8:23
Jeff Zimmerman: Not sure which Anderson, but I’d rather have Kim and Hernandez
8:24
jake: best healthy astros starter outside of greinke?
8:24
Jeff Zimmerman: You
8:24
jake: rank Christian Javier, Lance McCullers, Brandon Bielak, Framber Valdez… and which of them are ownable in 12 teamers
8:25
Jeff Zimmerman: Valdez, McCullers, Javier, Bielak. All should be owned at this point.
8:25
KK: Pedro Severino was pulled today with hip tightness.
8:25
Jeff Zimmerman: Thanks
8:25
jake: will I ever hear the name Trevor Gott again in a fantasy context after his recent blowup
8:25
Jeff Zimmerman: Probably not.
8:26
Mike Hawk: Wait a minute..you answer a question about Ke’Bryan but not Dalbec?  Moreland is on the block..who takes his place?
8:26
Jeff Zimmerman: Chavis fulltime
8:26
Herbie Hancock: Any of these hot steaks worth buying into if still on the WW?  Flores, Grichuck, Hayward (you covered Ahmed above).
8:27
Jeff Zimmerman: The guys you have listed are OK and sometimes they’ll be better or worse. Right now they are better and moving up in the lineup. Go ahead and see if they can keep it up with the extra at-bats.
8:27
Rick: Cronenworth or Ahmed or Cano rest of way? 6 cat w/ obp.
8:28
Jeff Zimmerman: It’s Cano right now
8:28
jake: how do u spell the name of the orioles starter that starts with Woj
8:28
Jeff Zimmerman: Scrabble
8:28
Thank you for your Service!: Didn’t realize you were a navy man. Thank you for your service and very impressive work on those submarines sir!!!
8:29
Jeff Zimmerman: Thanks but “Sir” … I was no officer. I worked for a living.
8:29
Smokey: What does it take to get the Rockies to stop playing McMahon 90% of the time and actually give Rodgers playing time?

K% for McMahon the last 3 years are 31.7%, 29.7%, and 34.7%. I get Rodgers didn’t impress in his small sample last year but there is a reason he has been a consensus top-30 prospect year-after-year.

8:29
Jeff Zimmerman: lol
8:29
Jeff Zimmerman: Give up trying to figure out the Rockies.
8:30
Jeff Zimmerman: That’s it for today. I need to go over the news to make sure nothing has changed before the NFBC FAAB runs.
