Earlier in the week, we visited our friends over at Touchdown Wire to get their take on who the Carolina Panthers should be targeting in the 2022 NFL draft. Mark Schofield’s choice, as we sit a good handful of months away from the event, was North Carolina State offensive lineman Ikem Ekwonu.

Well, we have some more friends to visit on the matter, and they also believe the Panthers should be zeroing in on that abysmal offensive trench.

Luke Easterling of Draft Wire, with the 10th overall pick, selected Texas A&M’s Kenyon Green in his latest mock. Easterling believes Green’s skill set can help Carolina either from the interior or off the edge.

“Quarterback is a strong possibility here, but without an inspiring option at that position in this year’s class, the Panthers would be better off improving their awful offensive line and addressing quarterback in some other way,” he notes. “Green is a versatile blocker who can play either guard or tackle at a high level.”

The 6-foot-4, 324-pounder has played at both tackle and guard spots for the Aggies during the 2021 season. So, given that the Panthers could certainly upgrade at literally almost spot on that line, Green is a name to keep tabs on.
