NEWARK, N.J. – Transfers Alexis Yetna (Paris, France) had a team-high 15 points and Kadary Richmond (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 13 as the Seton Hall men's basketball team soundly defeated Yale, 80-44, at the Prudential Center on Sunday.

What Happened:
Seton Hall assumed control from the start, holding Yale without a field goal for the first 5:46 of the game. During that time, the Pirates raced out to a 15-2 lead thanks in large part to 6-for-8 shooting from the floor, which included a pair of made three-pointers by Harris. After the teams traded buckets, the Bulldogs bounced back with an 11-2 run of their own to close the gap to 19-15. In a half of runs, the Pirates responded by taking off again, scoring 14 unanswered points, and a pair of free-throws by Richmond gave them a commanding 33-15 advantage with just 4:33 to go before halftime.
Leading 36-22, The Hall finished the first half with a 9-0 burst, highlighted by a double-clutch layup by Aiken that also drew a foul, and capped by a buzzer-beating tip-in by Cale to send the Pirates into the locker room up, 45-22.
The Seton Hall defense held Yale to just 2-for-18 shooting from three-point range in the first half and only 26.5% overall from the floor.
Yale cut its deficit to 18 points with 13:08 left in the game, 51-33, but the Pirates went on another run to put away any thoughts of a Bulldogs comeback. The Pirates held Yale scoreless for 7:20, going on a 14-0 run to take a 66-33 lead.
