For the second week in a row to start the year, the Rams will take on an NFC East foe. They beat the first by knocking off the Cowboys in Week 1, and now they’ll travel to Philadelphia for a meeting with the Eagles.

The Eagles have won six games in a row against the Rams, but Los Angeles has gotten off to a better start this season. Can the Rams snap that losing skid against Philly and win on Sunday?

We caught up with Eagles Wire editor Glenn Erby to preview the game and get the latest on Doug Pederson’s team.

1 Is the Eagles’ offensive line as bad as it seems after allowing eight sacks in Week 1?

No, Week 1 was an abomination and something that rarely happens to the Philadelphia offensive line. Lane Johnson is a stabilizing presence at right tackle and when he’s in the lineup, the Eagles usually play well and they usually win. Take into account the Eagles had two players (Herbig, Driscoll) making their first NFL starts against one of the most stout passing rushing units in football. Looking for Herbig to make a big jump in game No. 2 and with Johnson back at right tackle, things should return to normal.

2 How did Nickell Robey-Coleman play in his Eagles debut and how big of a role will he play this week?

He was solid against Washington. Terry McLaurin is the main threat for Washington and Darius Slay handled that for most of the afternoon. Robey-Coleman played about 59% of the team’s snaps and was targeted twice in the afternoon. I expect that he’ll see a lot of Cooper Kupp or Robert Woods when he’s playing the slot. With Darius Slay on the outside, it won’t necessarily be about shadowing a certain, but more about Robey-Coleman matching up with Kupp or whomever the underneath player is.

3 We know about the Eagles’ tight ends, but who’s a lesser-known playmaker the Rams have to worry about?

From an offensive standpoint, Greg Ward is certainly a player to watch in the passing game, and with Jalen Ramsey or Troy Hill shadowing Philadelphia’s outside wide receiver, Ward could be in line for a ton of targets, similar to Week 1.

4 How dominant is the defensive line with Malik Jackson now in the mix?

I think the dominance will come into play now that Javon Hargrave is healthy and set to make his season debut. In Week 1, Jackson showed his pass-rushing prowess and gave a glimpse of what the Eagles defensive line can look like with everyone healthy. With Hargrave now in the lineup, the Eagles can slide Jackson to end, thus providing Jim Schwartz with a third-down or passing down unit that could consist of Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, Hargrave, and Jackson or Josh Sweat.

5 Who do you expect to win on Sunday?

Sunday isn’t a must-win situation for the Eagles, especially with both the Cowboys and Giants suffering Week 1 losses. But for Carson Wentz individually, Sunday is crucial as he needs to redeem himself after a brutal second half and put the fanbase at ease about where he is as a signal-caller entering his fifth season. The six players that got clean bill of health this week are crucial to the team’s success and with Miles Sanders, Lane Johnson, Derek Barnett, Hargrave, and DeSean Jackson all expected to start, I look for a motivated Eagles team to take advantage of the Rams long trip East and win the game handily, 28-17.
