There are some tight ends widely available that either have good matchups heading into Week 4 or had successful Week 3 performances that raised our expectations moving forward. With that in mind, here are four TEs with under 50% ownership at traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up in their leagues.
It appears like Graham could be on his way to becoming a solid tight end option again. The former Green Bay Packers is second to only Allen Robinson II in targets (17) and has converted three of his 10 receptions into scores. Nick Foles looked for Graham often in the red zone in Week 3. If he continues to start over Mitchell Trubisky, Graham could have a more prominent role in the Bears’ offense. He’s one of this week’s most popular tight end adds.
Shultz has done a solid job since stepping in for the injured Blake Jarwin, who tore his ACL in Week 1. While some might think it’s easy for Schultz to get overshadowed by Michael Gallup, Amari Cooper, and CeeDee Lamb, but ha actually has more catches (14) and targets (20) than Gallup. Dak Prescott leads the NFL in passing attempts and yards, so Shultz has plenty of upside.
Olsen hasn’t flashed a ton of upside, but he’s bound to have some big games playing alongside Russell Wilson, who has hurled a ridiculous 14 touchdowns through three games. While Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are Wilson’s main targets, Olsen is neck and neck with Chris Carson for the third spot. Carson is dealing with a knee sprain and could miss some time, so Olsen might become more of a priority in the coming weeks.
Alie-Cox entered 2020 as Jack Doyle’s backup, but it appears like he could win a starting spot soon. Doyle wasn’t targeted once in Week 3 after returning from an ankle injury while Alie-Cox notched three receptions for 50 yards on half as many routes. Cox exploded for 111 receiving yards in Week 2 and is making a strong case for himself to move up the depth chart. Only Jimmy Graham was added in season-long leagues following Sunday’s games.
